ACAL
Liquid paraffin of the Cooper laboratories out of bottle of 500 ml not refunded by the social security.
Indications
Constipation
Posology
Adult: one to three spoonfuls with soup per day.
Child one to three spoonfuls with coffee per day
Adult: 1 to 2 G per day divided into 2 or 3 catches.
Child of less than 30 months: 50 to 100 Mg per kilo and day in three catches separated by eight hours.
Child of more than 30 months: 25 to 50 Mg per kilo and day in two or three catches without exceeding 3g per day.
Counter-indications
This drug should not be used in the child of less than six years.
Warning statements
ACAL should not be used systematically in the event of occurred of constipation. To treat the constipation it is necessary for all drinking abundantly, to have a food rich in fibers and a sufficient and regular physical-activity.
Undesirable effects
Anal seepage.
Absorption by the intestine of certain vitamins which one calls liposoluble (soluble in the greasy substances) such as the vitamins has, D, E, K, contrindiquent the prolonged use of ACAL.
Because of the risk of passage of this drug in the air routes, which exposes the patient to serious complications pulmonary, ACAL must be taken two hours before lying down. In addition the elderly or presenting difficulties of swallowing (problems to swallow) as well as the infants will use with prudence ACAL. Finally this drug is a therapeutic oil which should not be used as food (not to be heated, not to be consumed in some manner that it is).
