Indications

·         Prevention of the ocular complications of the ophthalmic shingles, in early administration.

Against indications

Antecedent of over-sensitiveness to aciclovir it, or with the one of the other components of the tablet.

Undesirable effects

Some benign cutaneous eruptions regressing with the stop of the treatment were described.

The following demonstrations were sometimes reported:

Digestive disorders: nauseas, vomiting, diarrheas.

Hoop nets neuropsychic: ebrious cephalgias, feelings. Central nervous system disorders sometimes severe and being able to comprise, confusion, agitation, tremors, myoclonies, convulsions, hallucinations, psychosis, somnolence, coma were seldom announced: they are usually insufficient renal having received amounts higher than posology recommended or old patients (see heading Warning statements and precautions for use).

A complete regression is usual with the stop of the treatment.

The presence of these symptoms must make seek an overdose (see heading overdose).

Hepatic disorders: reversible increases in the bilirubine and serum hepatic enzymes were reported.

Demonstrations of over-sensitiveness and reactions cutaneous: cutaneous eruptions, urticaria, prurit and exceptionally dyspneas, oedemas of Quincke and anaphylactic reactions.

Hematologic disorders: exceptional, case of thrombopénie and leucopenia.

Renal disorders: exceptionally increase in urea and creatinin blood and acute impaired renal function, in particular at the old or insufficient subject renal in the event of going beyond of posology.

Various effects: cases of tiredness were sometimes reported.
