Acomplia is a drug intended to treat the obese patients whose index of IMC (index of body mass) is higher than 30 kg per square meter. In addition these patients must present risk factors such as for example a diabetes of the type two (not insulinodépendant) or a dyslipidemy i.e. an excess of greasy substance in blood. Acomplia is prescribed in partnership with a mode and a sufficient physical-activity.
Posology
The amount usually prescribed and of compressed to 20 Mg per day which must be taken the morning before the breakfast.
Counter-indications
Characterized depression.
Antidepressant drugs.
Pregnancy and breast feeding.
Over-sensitiveness with rimonabant (allergy).
Hepatic insufficiency.
Impaired renal function.
Children of less than 18 years.
Patients presenting of the convulsions.
Patients presenting of the antecedents psychiatric or currently treated by the drugs of the nerve sedative type.
Old subject.
Medicamentous interactions
Rimonabant does not have to be prescribed with the drugs containing of the following substances:
Kétoconazole.
CYP 3A4.
Itraconazole.
Ritonavir.
Télithromycine.
Clarithromycine.
Néfazodone.
Rifampicine.
Phénytoïne
Phenobarbital.
Carbamazépine.
Millepertuis.
Orlistat.
Ethanol.
Lorazépam.
