The actapulgite is an gastro-intestinal bandage, radio-transparency, allowing of this fact the radiological investigations without having to stop the treatment. The color of the saddles is not modified under treatment.

Indications
Intestinal functional demonstrations being accompanied primarily by meteorism and diarrhea.

Posology and mode of administration
2 to 3 sachets per day before the meals
2 sachets per day before the meals for the children whose weight exceeds 10 kilos
The laboratory recommends to mix dry the powder with sugar before adding water.

Counter-indications
Sténose of the digestive tract.

Warning statement and precautions for use
The patients presenting a mégacôlon or a deterioration of the motricity of the colon with risk of fécalome will have to take this drug with prudence.
The patients reached of diabetes or making a mode hypoglucidic must take account of the content of glucose which is of 2,7 g/sachet.

Interactions
Association with the following drugs requires precautions of use. Indeed, there exists a reduction in ingestion by the digestive mucous membrane of these drugs absorptive simultaneously with the actapulgite:

· Fluoroquinolones
· Éthambutol and Isoniazide
· Lincosamides
· Cyclines
· Antihistamines H2
· Digoxine
· Aténolol, Métoprolol
· Chloroquine
· Diflunisal
· Sodium fluoride
· Nerve sedatives phenothiazinic
· Glucocorticoïdes (more particularly Prednisolone and Dexaméthasone)
· Propranolol
· Iron salts
· Diphosphonates
· Pénicillamine
· Kayexalate
· Indométacine
· Kétoconazole
· Lansoprazole

By measure of precaution, it is preferable to absorb the actapulgite remotely other drugs (more than 2 hours as far as possible).

Pregnancy
The indication of this drug during the pregnancy should not be posed except exceptional case. Indeed, there does not exist study showing the total harmlessness of this molecule.
