In which case drug ACTICARBINE is it prescribes?
This drug contains activated carbon and papaverin. Coal absorbs gases present in the digestive tract. Papaverin calms the spasms of the intestine.

It is used in the symptomatic treatment of the disorders of the intestinal transit time, in particular with distensions.

Caution
Do not use this drug in a way prolonged without the opinion of your doctor: examinations can be necessary if the symptoms persist.

Interactions of drug ACTICARBINE with other substances
This drug can decrease the absorption of other drugs, in particular those which contain digitoxine or digoxine (digitalic). A time of at least 2 hours must be respected between the catch of this drug and that of the other treatments. Ask council your doctor or your pharmacist.

Pregnancy and breast feeding
The effect of this drug during the pregnancy or breast feeding is badly known. The evaluation of the possible risk related to its use is individual: ask council your pharmacist or your doctor.

Directions for use and posology of drug ACTICARBINE
The tablets must be swallowed with a little water, without being crunched.

Usual posology:
Adult: 1 or 2 compressed 3 times per day, before the meals.

The Councils
A food rich in fibers, if it facilitates the transit, can also increase intestinal fermentations and support the distensions. Ask council your doctor to balance your food.

In the event of diarrhea, the treatment consists in compensating for the water loss by abundant drinks to avoid dehydration. In the infant or the fragile elderly, a medical opinion can be necessary if the diarrhea is important or durable.
