In 8 years, the frequency of the rhinitis increased by 2,6%, passing from 12,4% in 1992 to 15% in 2000. But 20% of the subjects reached of allergic rhinitis in 1992 did not present any more symptoms in 2000. This disappearance concerned mainly the oldest people, is those which had between 50 and 59 years at the beginning of study.

Asthma is also a predictive factor

It is also noticed that the demonstration of an asthma represents a predictive factor of occurred of a rhinitis and decreases the chances of remission of a preexistent rhinitis.
The family antecedents of rhinitis or asthma play them also a big role. They increase the risk clearly to suffer from a rhinitis. On the other hand, they do not influence the remission of the rhinitis.

In conclusion, the rhinitis allergy tends to grow blurred with the age. As for its occurred, it is supported by the presence of an asthma and the family antecedents of asthma or rhinitis.
