Autism
The autism is a behavioral problem which appear by a maladjustment with social environment and family and an impossibility to communicate with its entourage. This disorder is a large handicap and has heavy consequences as well on the family level as social and professional.

A child in his bubble
The disease appears early in childhood, before 3 years.
The signs of the autism are extremely variable of an individual to another: it is overall a child with which one can not to come into contact, which is in its bubble, which seems indifferent to the outside world, which does not speak or badly, repeating inlassablement the same gestures: to turn the head, to move the hands, to balance themselves… They are anxious children. They have a great difficulty of representing their body in space.
Certain children have an important backwardness, others have a normal, or subnormal intelligence.
These children need to be reassured, to be in a stable environment.
A mysterious disease
In the whole world, much of research teams, in partnership with the parents of autistic children, work on the autism.
Many factors are evoked to explain the autism but none still was the proof of its role in the appearance of this disease: genetic factors, neuroanatomical, functional anomalies of the brain, environmental, biological, immunological factors…
The search for a cause to this disease is all the more difficult as it appears in multiple forms, that proportionings of biological substances in the organization are done in several laboratories throughout the world by different methods with noncomparable results.
The researchers are nevertheless of agreement on the existence of the increase in hormone of stress in the blood of these autistic people and the anguish is a major symptom of the autism. It would seem that the stress would support the severity of the autistic disorders.
Research teams, thanks to the functional IRM, showed the functional failure of certain surfaces of the brain of autistic people would prevent them from recognizing the human voice or the faces. That could explain their incapacity to have unspecified adaptation with outside and the palpable anguish which emanates from these people.
The assumption of responsibility of the autistic children
Each autistic child is so different from the other that the assumption of responsibility should be individual. It is essential to take these children gives the responsability some as soon as possible in order to give them the possibility of developing functions which will be able to make up the deficits due to the autism as long as the brain is malleable, to even cure, at least to enable them to be integrated has minimum in the social life, to have a minimum of autonomy, to learn how to them to speak, communicate.
Activities appreciated by the autistic children
For the autistic children, all the directions must be put in awakening, without distressing them: the touch, the sense of smell, the taste, are a means of stimulation and communication with the outside world to be developed.
Certain sports are appreciated by these children:
Horsemanship not so that they become riders but to learn how to them to communicate, here with an animal (touch, to feel it). It is the équithérapie; on the back of a pony, they choose the position which they want: flat belly, the nose in the mane, flat back to let itself rock… that asks for the presence of a monitor of horsemanship having competences to make “work” these difficult children, the active presence of 2 teachers. The presence of the parents is not always desirable, certain children do not want to go up in the presence of the mother.
The swimming pool is also a space which these children appreciate: the element water is appropriate to them, they are at ease and can learn how to swim.
Autistic children are also able to express themselves by the drawing.
There is no treatment apart from the socioeducational assumption of responsibility, of medical monitoring and possibly medicamentous with nerve sedatives for the autistic people who adopt a dangerous attitude for themselves or for others.
The parents of autistic children know that their child has a few years in front of him to develop certain functions in order to compensate for those which are defective thanks to the socioeducational assumption of responsibility; they hope for the every day that a releasing will be made, and that their child will cure. Many are those which meet regularly to exchange their concerns and those which are in liaison with the research teams to help with better knowing the disease and to treat it one day.
