Deodorant, the essential ally
It is the summer! The beautiful season, fills all our directions – heat, light, odors of fruits and barbecue… But unfortunately also of perspiration! Against this nuisance, our best friends are the deodorants. Small presentation in details.

Why one feels?

We do not feel because of sweat, in itself odorless. We feel because the bacteria which live on our skin – secreting odorous substances – can nourish sweat, in particular at the places where we have hairs. The armpits, which combine glands sudoripares (secreting perspiration) and hairs, are thus logically “the” strategic zone of the odors which we find awkward. It is useful to remember that the body odors are natural, and even useful, since they are used as unconscious language between the bodies; but that does not release us from the obligation which reigns in our companies to make them disappear!

How do the deodorants function?

The first deodorants functioned by masking the body odors by another, the more pleasant. The majority of the offered products today keep this idea of good odor, but one saw appearing the deodorants without perfume. They are intended for those which fear the fight between their perfume and their deodorant, but also to the people with the sensitive skin, or with allergic tendency. Their existence even proves well that the deodorants go today well beyond masking the odors. They indeed make it possible to decrease sudation, therefore the quantity of perspiration on the skin, and consequently bacteria and odors.

The choice of textures and the perfumes

The ray deodorants of a department store comprises tens of options today. One can divide them into three main categories…
them sprays: It is the traditional form, but much of women remain attached there. They have the advantage of being quickly put and of not leaving moisture after the passage, and certain skins support them better than the products which remain more present.
them stick: solids, they leave a film powdered on the skin. Their assets: effectiveness and speed of employment. On the other hand, they age a little less better, the stick tending to dry
them rollers: they can have several names, but the principle is the same one: a ball deposits on the skin a deodorant fluid (that functions like a ball point pen). The product being deposited in greater quantity, the effectiveness is rather convincing. The disadvantage is related to the same characteristic: it should be waited a few minutes that moisture decreases before threading its clothing.

Other less known alternatives

If these three options are most frequently used, they are not only. The remedies of grandmother are legion, to start with the talc, which also functions for the feet. Also think of the alum stone, which is expensive the purchase but is much more durable than the usual déos. Modifications of your practices can also improve your problems of body odors: the regular depilation of the armpits makes them hospital for the bacteria, and the use of a soap antibactérien can render service (if it is not too aggressive).
