Intolerance with glucose/Raise of sugar dangerous/What intolerance with glucose?
Intolerance with glucose occurs when the organization loses its sensitivity to the effects of insulin and must work more extremely to control the levels of blood glucose. A person who suffers from intolerance to glucose posts blood sugar levels (glucose) higher than the normal, but not yet enough high to say that it is diabetic. As in the case of the diabetes of the type 2, the produced organization of insulin, but in possibly less quantity or with a reduced effectiveness.
The people suffering from intolerance to glucose are not only more likely with the diabetes of the type 2; but they run also 50% plus the risk to suffer from arterial hypertension and hypercholesterolemy, the factors being able to cause a cardiovascular disease or an cerebral vascular accident.
One of my friends suffers from resistance to insulin. Is this the same thing as resistance to glucose?
Not. Resistance to the action of insulin occurs when the organization ceases answering insulin well. To compensate, it produces insulin more and more, but because the answer to insulin is bad, even higher insulin levels cannot control glucose effectively. A resistance increased to insulin can generate the diabetes.
The people suffering from plumpness or obesity run a greater risk to develop a resistance to insulin.
Who is likely to suffer from resistance to glucose?
The people who have a strong ponderal overload and the obese people are more prone to intolerance with glucose, especially those whose surplus weight is around the size. Indeed, the excess of weight reduces the effect of insulin. By losing weight, the rate of glucose becomes again normal. Because resistance to insulin is less, a greater quantity of glucose is transported blood towards the cells of fabrics. The weight loss also helps to reduce the risks of diabetes of the type 2.
Your risk to develop an intolerance with the glucose and the diabetes of the type 2 also increases if you are sedentary, if you have family antecedents of diabetes, of diabetes gestationnel (i.e. if you suffered from diabetes at the time of a pregnancy), if you gave rise to a child of more than nine books and if you are of indigenous origin, Hispanic, African or Polynesian.
