lactic acid
Substance produced in the muscles during the use of glucose (sugar) like energy source, in the absence of oxygen (at the beginning of a physical exercise, for example). Its accumulation in the muscles is at the origin of less good performances, even of cramps. It is eliminated for the period from active recovery (period of physical exercise of light intensity which must follow a drive or a test).
